What we use your email for
Short version: to let you log in, and to warn you if something happens that affects you. Nothing else.
Your email
- It's your login. That's the entire reason we ask for it.
- It is never sold, rented or shared with anyone. Not advertisers, not partners, not "analytics partners". There are none.
- No marketing mail. No newsletters, no drip campaigns, no "we miss you" nudges.
- We only ever email you about things that affect you directly — a security problem, data loss, or a change to how the app works that you'd want warned about in advance. If we can avoid emailing you, we will.
What the app stores
- Your profile and the things you log: workouts, food, weight, habits, goals, allowances, lists.
- It's stored in your account so it follows you between your phone and your computer, and kept on your device so it still works offline.
- Nobody at Haruno reads your logs. There's no dashboard here showing what you ate.
What other members can see
- Nothing, unless you opt in. The leaderboard is off until you join it, and public boards hide part of every username.
- If you accept a friend, they see your weekly calories burned, active days and streaks — never your weight, your food log or your calorie deficit.
- Feedback you send goes to the developer only. It isn't posted anywhere.
What we count
- We count which tools get opened, once per day, so we know what's worth improving. Not what you logged in them.
- The homepage totals (calories burned, goals completed) are everyone's numbers added together, with no names attached.
- No ads, no trackers, no third-party analytics scripts.
Leaving
- You can export everything you've logged at any time from inside the app.
- If you stop using Haruno, your data waits for six months in case you come back, then it's deleted.
- Want it gone sooner? Send a note through Feedback in the app, or email the address below, and it's deleted — account, logs, all of it.
Honest limits
- Haruno is a small project built by one person, still being worked on in the open. It runs on Supabase and Cloudflare, who host the database and the site.
- No system is perfect. If something ever goes wrong with your data, you'll hear it from us plainly and quickly.
Questions about any of this: use the Feedback button in the app. It reaches the developer directly.
